Sarah
Coombs came to set and production design by way of English and art
studies at Kenyon College. After spending her junior year at Trinity
College in Dublin, Ireland, Sarah graduated from Kenyon in 2000. In 2007 she received an MFA in set and production design from the Department of Design for Stage
and Film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She became a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 shortly after graduation.
When not designing, Sarah can most often be found padded to twice
her normal size. She tends goal for a local street hockey league,
Black Top Street Hockey. Her team, Mathematics, cheers exclusively in math terminology.
Originally from Los Angeles, Sarah loves limes, seltzer and the sun.
She lives in New York City with her husband Andy
Pratt and
their two cats, Sydney Bristow and The Butler.
